This restaurant in the One Peachtree Pointe building (in the former MidCity Cuisine space) specializes in made-from-scratch rustic Italian fare, including pasta, meat, risotto, paninis and gelato. In nice weather, dine on their outdoor piazza.

If you like Italian food, and you have the resources for a reasonably expensive meal and you’ve never been to La Pietra Cucina, then you must rectify that situation right away. (Full review)
La Pietra Cucina, a small Italian restaurant taking up part of the space once occupied by Midcity Cuisine, is both literally and figuratively one of the best finds to come across -- unexpected and totally satisfying. Other than Antica Posta owner Marco Betti’s Tuscan wonder in Buckhead and Riccardo Ullio’s Sotto Sotto, Italian of this caliber doesn’t exist in Atlanta. Chef Bruce Logue has a deep understanding of Italian cuisine, but his interpretation is his own. Logue also knows that, especially in his early months, specials are the easiest way to express his cooking style while gauging public opinion: He offers lots of them, though many repeat from week to week.
