The opening preview of "I Dream" at the Alliance Theater at Atlanta's Woodruff Arts Center was phenomenal! Tears from the opening scene. Moving and heart wrenching, the music, lyrics, choreography, and performances were extraordinary and powerful.
This sophisticated modern opera found perfect harmony between history and humanity. Thank you Jasmine Guy for choosing to debut your masterpiece here in Atlanta in stead of opening in London or on Broadway- although I predict "I Dream" will soon grace those stages as well. Tony Awards anyone?
"I Dream" brings Rev. Dr. MLK, Jr.'s plight to the audience in a way that only music can- through the soul.
