Confessions Of A Nightingale

Confessions of a Nightingale: "Confessions of a Nightingale" was created by Ray Stricklyn and Charlotte Chandler and is based on Chandler's original interviews with Tennessee Williams for her book "The Ultimate Seduction." It takes place towards the end of Tennessee Williams' life in 1983, and provides an intimate look at the prolific playwright and his many vulnerabilities. Sid Shier, one of Atlanta's best-known character actors during the 60s, 70s and 80s, has played almost as many roles in life… Show more as he has on Atlanta's stages. Nationally recognized as an interior designer, Shier's resume also includes restaurateur, fashion stylist and display director. For the theater, in addition to acting, directing, and producing, he has designed costumes, sets and lighting for numerous shows. Back in Atlanta after 18 years in Los Angeles, Shier returns to the stage on March 24, 2011 to star in the highly-acclaimed one-man portrayal of Tennessee Williams in "Confessions of a Nightingale." In Tennessee Williams' own words, "Welcome to this 'True Confessions' evening. I'm going to let it all hang out. I hope you know what you're in for!"
