Based on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, this musical takes audiences back to the gang filled streets of the 1950’s New York City. Instead of the Montagues and the Capulets fighting each other, the story opens with the gangs of the Puerto Rican Sharks, and the Anglo Jets in bitter rivalry. However, this does not stop two lovers, Maria and Tony, from opposing sides from falling in love with each other.
