Roy Wood, Jr.

Hailing from Birmingham, AL. Roy started his comedy career in 1999 at the age of 19. His creative writing and dedicated work ethic have since earned him the right to perform his comedy in front of millions of Americans on various television programs. The most recent being the 2005-06 Seasons of Comedy Central's Premium Blend and BET's Comic View. Two years prior to this Roy made it to the semifinals on CBS's Star Search. He has also been seen on 'Its Showtime at the Apollo' as well as 'Live in Hollywood… Show more w/ KiKi Shepard'. Steering clear of predictable topics and premises, Roy delivers clean comedy that gives an honest look at not only his life, but the world in which we live. The universay appeal of his comedy crosses all race and cultural lines which is why Roy has opened for an array of comedians ranging from D.L. Hughley, Ron White, Monique, Tommy Davidson, Bill Engvall, and Sheryl Underwood.
