Opening Reception, Thornton Dial: Family Tree

Bill Lowe Gallery’s inaugural exhibition of 2013 presents new works by artistic giant Thornton Dial, running concurrent with his exhibition, Hard Truths, at the High Museum.   Dial’s most recent art will be juxtaposed with principal earlier pieces (1989-1994), allowing viewers insight to the evolution of his artistic vocabulary.  This exhibition also includes important works by Dial family artists, all of whom influenced his life and his art.
