Russian passion and the ardent duo of Maestro Spano and Mr. Ohlsson create a sensational 65th season opener. The "Pathétique" was Tchaikovsky's last and greatest symphony, and the "Rach Three" - Rachmaninov's best-loved concerto, composed for an American tour - made headlines at its premiere and again in 1996 when featured in the Oscar(c)-winning film Shine.
