I'm Cuban. I cook Cuban food. My wife cooks Cuban food. I eat at Cuban restaurants all the time. So we visited the Havana> 1. place looks dirty and not nice. 2. Employees were not attentive. 3. Food was passable as something other than what we went there to eat. I had Boliche, black beans, yellow rice. Boliche could have been a bowling ball that was flattened out and cooked. The put cooked onions on top and gave you bland rice and not-tasting black beans. Food tasted good only because of the onions (I love onions). My wife refused to eat anything, One of my daughters had a Cubano, burned on one side, not toasted on the other. The other was supposed to get a grilled chicken breast sandwich and got a chicken salad sandwich,
When I went to see who the cook was, everyone working there is from Mexico or Central America. Good, hard working people, but definitely not Cubans. So I got a taste in my food that was Mexi-Guate-ban food.
Now, someone who does not knows that is not real Cuban food may be fine with it and if they like it, ok. But not for this Cuban.

Do NOT patronize Havana Grill located at 3373 Buford Hwy Atlanta, GA 30329. Shafiq Matani, husband of Debbie Matani, is known to carry a gun and has a violent temper. Children HAVE been harmed.
