The eminently quotably “Bull Durham” will be transformed into a musical and premiere at the Alliance Theatre in September as part of its 2014-15 season.

Based on the 1988 Kevin Costner-Susan Sarandon movie which celebrates the Church of Baseball, the production will have a book by Academy Award-nominee Ron Shelton, the director and screenwriter of the film.

While Tracey Bloom has made few creative changes to the modern American style Immel lent to the menu, her cooking is as solid as cooking gets. In a city that boasts very few female culinary stars, that’s actually saying something. Her training shows in every pristine bite; I just wish she’d let her hair down a little and show those corporate guys who’s boss.

Twist-Alliance Theatre

Just saw Twist tonight... opening night...it was absolutely amazing! The cast was fabulous;notably the children were truly talented. Above all, the choreograpghy was exceptional. There was never a dull moment in the play. I thoroughly enjoyed Twist and highly recommend it. Welcome to Atlanta Ms. Allen. Well done!
