P'CHEEN in the Old Fourth Ward is a prime example of the latest wave of urban-hip Atlanta bar/restaurants. The creative progeny of chef Alex Friedman and DJ Keiran Neely, the look is rustic and stylish. The menu remixes pub-grub favorites with contemporary bistro fare. And much of the savvy beer and wine list is bargain-priced.
It wasn't very good at all. 3 chorizo meatballs were $8, and didn't taste like chorizo at all. The charcuterie and cheese was really the only thing I liked, even with the oversalted prosciutto, and it was like $8 for 3 slices of prosciutto, 3 slices of lomo, and 3 chunks of cheese. And the $18 fried chicken took way too long to "make" and tasted like they boiled it first. It was soggy.
