I dont want to make my friend feel bad about selecting the park tavern for their recent wedding reception. The views of the skyline are great and the large windows looking out to the park are impressive. Although on the date of their event it was bedlam below looking onto the outdoor space at the park tavern.
The real problem my date and I had was that the food was poor, and that is being generous. We tried several items and it became comical as each one was worse than the previous. The staff however was nice, although relatively uninformed about what they were serving. Parking was also a big challenge.
Overall, I felt bad for my friends because I sensed they knew about the problems I mentioned. That is unfortunate as I remember going to a wedding years ago when it was called The Pavillion on the Park and the food was much better. James

We went to Park Tavern for Easter Brunch. First we had to pay to park. Absolutely ridiculous. We had to stand in line to pay for our meal before we were even allowed into the restaurant. I had made reservations over a month before easter but I was not told that there were no assigned tables. We had to stand around with all the people without reservations and wait for others to leave so we could sit down. Not one time during the 1 1/2 hours we were there did a server ever come to our table. never to remove a plate or refil a water. I guess thats why gratuity was included when we paid upon arrival. We had to ask the bartender for salt and were handed a plastic cup with margarita salt in it. The food was typical. Overcooked fish and beef and undercooked potatoes. A great memory for my son's first Easter.
