Horrible experience! We sat in the bar/lounge area and waited ~45 minutes for a server to greet us after sitting down. When we wanted refills or the bill she was nowhere to be found. The food was not good. The menu selection is small, over-priced, they were completely out of deserts, and many of the drinks were pre-mixed. Our bill was $92 for 4 drinks and 2 appetizers and our server added an 18% gratuity for a party of 4! The atmosphere is very old and the bathrooms were dirty. Also, our parking pass was improperly validated so we still had to pay to leave the deck. I thought they might try to change their image or renovate after being closed from the tornado damage in 2008. I was wrong. You pay for a great view but get nothing to compliment it. The Sun Dial failed to stand up to any expectations one might have for a restaurant so widely known around Atlanta.
