Best in Atlanta?? Hardly.

I totally agree with michaelgbergman. I ate there once (the new one on Roswell Rd. in Sandy Springs), excited to finally eat at the Atlanta "favorite". Wow, were we unimpressed. The breakfast was decent, but honestly, you don't have to make everything funky to be good...but the biscuits...wow were they bad. There were about 12 people in my group and only ONE of them liked the biscuits (I think he liked the cranberry butter stuff more than the biscuit because he drenched it on there)...ONE out of 12...that's 8.33% people, that's terrible. After we each had one biscuit each we tried to pass them around the table to get rid of them...we had a plate piled up of biscuits because nonody wanted another. They're sweet (which isn't to bad), hard and they take forever to chew up for some reason. I'd easily say the Cracker Barrel has better biscuits. Proceed with caution...and don't take the "expert's" advice on Atlanta biscuits, take ours, we don't get paid to review these places.

Anything but biscuits

I don't know how this place does it. Yes it's funky, hip and offers a few slightly unique things but their biscuits are HORRIBLE. First of all they're hard as a rock. No seriously, it's not that they're not as soft as you'd prefer. You could throw one of these at someone's head and be charged for attempted murder. Secondly they're a little too bread-like for my taste. Finally they taste like slightly sweetened cardboard. They are so bland that if you don't load them up with butter and jelly and bacon grease, you'll be chewing for an hour. I personally don't like a sweet biscuit and that is the only bit of flavor you get from this biscuit. Biscuits should be fluffy, buttery and sometimes flaky. Flying Biscuit biscuits are none of these. I think the only reason they won best biscuit is because they have the word "biscuit" in their name, and it's so trendy to go there. To be fair, the food is pretty good, but the biscuits are an embarrassment.
