A convivial French neighborhood place that continues to attract loyal flocks of regulars with its nearly nostalgic, value-priced menu for lunch and dinner, but also manages to convey the feel of a romantic restaurant. Beyond its nod to basic bistro cooking, the menu is slightly eccentric, but there are certainly all the savory classics, such as escargots, steak au poivre, and quiche Lorraine, and sweets, such as chocolate mousse, creme brulee and pear tart. And the wine list has some good, reasonably priced selections by the glass.
