Atlanta Contemporary Art Center's mission is to promote excellence, experimentation, and education in all forms of contemporary art and culture. A defining force in Atlanta’s cultural life since 1973, the Contemporary is one of the South’s most dynamic venues for artistic exchange and experimental thinking, and presents approximately 12 exhibitions throughout the year utilizing its unique gallery spaces. Exhibitions explore current ideas, attitudes, and directions in contemporary artistic expression. The exhibition schedule offers a diverse mix of solo and group projects presenting a broad range of local, national, and international works. The Contemporary plays a pivotal role in Atlanta’s cultural landscape by making contemporary art available to enthusiastic audiences.
