Chef-owner Paolo Tondo of Taverna Fiorentina seems to have led a circuitous life’s route — from a technical degree growing up in Florence, to importing and distributing Italian specialty equipment for the restaurant industry in San Francisco, to co-owning, with Jasmin Reyes, his own restaurant on Cobb Parkway.
(Full review)When Paolo Tondo left San Francisco to open his own eatery, he knew that the Big A was the place to be. The native of Italy found a location that has a neighborhood feel yet is close to Vinings and Buckhead. His new Taverna Fiorentina is part of the revamped Kroger shopping center. The menu includes pastas and breads made daily on site.
