"The Toe Tactic" is writer, director and animator Emily Hubley's tale of a young woman dealing with loss and the mystical events that take place over the course of a magical weekend, with a score by Yo La Tengo. The film combines Hubley's hand-drawn animation with live action. There will be a screening and a reception with the filmmaker from 6-9 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Clarkston Community Center. The screening is part of the South Arts Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers.
