Downtown Decatur… Atlanta’s oldest neighborhood. Birthplace of Michael Stipe, Amy Ray, and Jan Hooks. And home of Atlanta’s most exciting and innovative restaurants.
Come join Atlanta Culinary Tours as we explore the history, culture, and – most importantly – cuisine of this vibrant and historic community. We’ll sample gourmet tavern fare at The Square Pub and Mac McGee, homemade desserts at The Chocolate Bar, and visit Eddie’s Attic, a beacon of the Atlanta music scene that has helped launch such… Show more artists as The Indigo Girls, Drivin’ And Cryin’, and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland. We’ll also learn how Decatur beat the railroad, why Decatur students of the last century had school on Saturdays, and the Decatur Death House!
Spend an evening with us and see why Decatur has been the heart of Atlanta’s independent restaurant and entertainment district for over thirty years! Tours vary slightly from month to month, but typically include:
The Square Pub – Gourmet tavern fare.
Mac McGee – The taste of an Irish pub on the Square.
Eddie’s Attic – Music and a rooftop grill.
The Chocolate Bar – fine desserts and a full bar.
The Cook's Warehouse, Your source for cooking classes, appliances, cookware.

Tours begin at 6:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month, and last just over two hours. It includes about a mile of walking on paved surfaces.
