The Career Coaching sessions will be held beginning at 7PM on the 4th Tuesday of each month.  For each coaching session, please report to the Wesley Room, located on the second floor of the… Show more Education Building. (Enter at the main entrance on the East side of the Dunwoody Umc building, go up the stairs and go right, The room will be the first door on the right on the 2nd floor immediately behind the elevators.)  Â
We will have a number of our experienced volunteer leaders available on those evenings to spend 1-on-1 time with you to discuss topics that are specific to your needs. These will cover a variety of areas, including:
Building a more effective resume
Using online social media for jobseekers (LinkedIn, Facebook)
Personal finance issues when unemployed
Face-to-face interviewing help
Job search resources
Networking/finding contacts
Other topics where jobseekers need help
You will be matched to one of our experienced volunteer team members who is best-equipped to help you with your individual needs. If you have questions or need help on a topic not covered, just ask and we will do our best to provide you with the help you need.
The Career Coaching program will last from 7-9 PM, and upon arrival you will be scheduled for a 1-on-1 session for a specific time slot (typically 30-45 minutes).  Depending upon the number of attendees and coaches, you may have 1, 2 or 3 coaching sessions during the evening.  During any time when you are not scheduled for a coaching session, you are invited to network with others who attend, and our volunteers may be able to help you on other topics when they are not scheduled with other participants.

Because the number of coaching appointments is limited by the number of coaches we have available, please register as early as possible .Â

Who are we?
The Career Ministry is a volunteer-led program and part of the Congregational Care Ministries at Dunwoody United Methodist Church in Dunwoody GA.Â
The Career Ministry supports those who are out of work and seeking new employment opportunities by teaching the latest job search techniques and by offering monthly speaker programs, workshops and Career Camps to help find the work that God has created for you!
Career Ministry programs are offered on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.  Our meetings are held in the Wesley Room at Dunwoody Umc, 1548 Mount Vernon Road, Dunwoody Ga. The Wesley Room is on the second level of the Education Building, behind the elevators.Â
As part of our efforts on the 4th Tuesday or each month, we are offering an evening of Career Coaching by appointment, supported by our Career Ministry Team.
