Café Bleu tries to create a unique dining experience by providing suburbia with a place to try dishes like curry grits with salmon and fried chicken with international flavors. That’s combined with almost nightly music, comedy and poetry performances. It’s all served in a setting that’s part fine dining/part family restaurant, with blue-hued walls and a mismatch of décor items. Inventive dishes such as blackberry BBQ glazed Georgia wild shrimp are surprisingly good and the cheesy grits can’t be any better. Other sauces and dips need improvement, such as the spinach and roasted artichoke dip.
