Training for Planning Officials (Two Day Course)

This course consists of two parts. Part I introduces you to the foundations of planning in the State of Georgia, specifically the Atlanta region. This includes a historical basis of land use planning and regulation, an overview of the legal environment in which planning is conducted, in-depth information on planning tools and demographics of the region. Part II reviews key regional issues related to planning, then gives valuable information on how to take all of this information and use it to make effective planning commission decisions.
