Marietta/Cobb Museum "Shadow Circus" Recent Works by Kirsten Stingle & Lorraine Glessner
Sep 28-Dec 15-The exhibit brings to light the inner stories and dialogues we have with ourselves. Stingle, of Atlanta, and Glessner, of Philadelphia, use art to depict struggle and transition. Stingle combines handbuilt porcelain figures with discarded relics, creating a narrative that engages the viewer in this age of individual isolation. Glessner's fiber and encaustic paintings are richly layered, requiring the viewer to go deep within to understand what our shadow side is trying to tell us.
