JJ Grey & Mofro
Mixing funk, soul, rock, and blues, Florida-born singer/guitarist J.J. Grey and his band Mofro released their first album, BLACKWATER, in 2001, and began to build a strong regional following for their gritty, swampy sound. After their second release, Lochloosa, they started to play at major festivals like Bonnaroo. In 2007 their third album, COUNTRY GHETTO (their first for legendary blues label Alligator Records), helped to expand Grey's appeal even further. ~ Rovi
