Dick Clark - the heavens are rockin' today.

What an amazing man!!! He will be missed by so many.

I had the privilege of working directly with Dick Clark and Billy Payne during the Atlanta "Flag Jam" when the Olympic flag was brought over from Barcelona. I ran scripts between the two men. I'll never forget Dick Clark introducing himself to me, as if I wouldn't know who he was. He had several huge, adjoining rooms in the belly of the newly re-built Georgia Dome where his staff handled everything and there were long tables filled with just about any kind of food you might want. He asked if I wanted something to eat before he even asked what I needed from him. He was one of the kindest men I've ever had the privilege of meeting. He treated me like family. We developed a remarkable bond during that short period, but I will never forget his amazing ability to make everyone feel at home and comfortable around him. You will never be forgotten, kind sir.
