Located in the heart of historic Roswell (between the Roswell Mill and the Chattahoochee River) this coffee house serves up a living for growers in Rwanda along with its brew. The shop also sells pastries, or just relax with the free Wi-Fi, read a book or play a game. Live music on Saturday nights.

Best Coffee, Hands Down
I nearly literally feel guilty going to Starbucks after having had coffee at Land of 1,000 Hills. The staff is impeccably nice, the coffee is french-pressed and incredibly tasty, and the patrons are pretty uniformly nice to be around. We stop by at the least excuse. It's fairly walkable from the Roswell Square area (although Roswell needs to step it up and get some sidewalks further down Atlanta Street), so get a pastry and walk it off on the way back to the square.

Drink coffee, do good. That's the motto of the Land of 1000 Hills Coffee Company in Roswell, where all the beans are bought from Rwandan growers paid a living wage. A portion of the proceeds goes back to the country. The beans are roasted in-house and brewed in one-size lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, iced coffees and more. A small selection of pastries, muffins and Danish is on-hand, along with free wireless, books and games. (Full review)
