Earth Skills Club members demonstrate traditional skills including flint knapping, matchless fire starting, cordage making and primitive cooking. Learn how to make music with Nature Instruments from natural objects & Create Lean–tos, Forts & Spider Shelters -the perfect hideaway using branches. *BUSHCRAFT is the name given to those skills practiced by Woodsmen, adventurers, survivalists and those with an interest in ancient or primitive ways of life. Meet members of Bushcraft USA, who get together several times a year to practice their skills in a wilderness setting and further the knowledge of ancient techniques. One of our Wilderness skills teachers, Mors Kochansky, is often quoted as saying “The more you know, the less you carry” - adopt a simplistic methodology - rather than geek up on all the latest gear and gadgets.”

•Primitive fire making to include friction fire and the use of flint and steel.
•Making cordage (rope) from natural materials
•Making primitive tools and weapons
•Fashioning useful utensils from wood and other found materials
•Field Cooking.
